This paper introduces a new approach for mapping coastal geomorphology by using differentioal sysnthetic aperature radar interferometry (DInSAR). Fuzzy B-spline is used to accelerate and improve the accuracy of 3D map from DInSAR. DInSAR algorithm is involved two parts: 3D map simulation and interferogram simulation with DEM and satellite orbit parameters. 3D coastal geomorphology reconstruction is realized by Fuzzy B-spline algorithm with the midpoint displacement method and the terrain roughness and average slope are determined by two describing parameters of the model. Furthermore, Fuzzy B-spline was used to eliminate topographic phase from the interferograms. Two TOPSAR/POLSAR had been obtained between December 1996 and November 2000, and two coherent interferograms were generated from them. The real 3D coastal geomorphology elevation have been collected along the shoreline of Kuala Terengganu Malaysia. The study shows the DInSAR provides information about coastal geomorphology change with accuracy of Â± 0.1 m. It can be concluded that the integration between DInSAR and Fuzzy B-spline can provide accurate map of 3D coastal geomorphology construction from historical Airborne data. In the term of small satellite mission future, this work might be the main concept to design a such microwave sensor could be used in investigation of coastal geomorphology. It might a great idea to design a small satellite within a synthetic two antenna to provide an automatic differentioal differentioal sysnthetic aperature radar interferometry (DInSAR) data.
