Abstract

In recent years, Switchable Antenna is very synonym with UWB and most the component of switching is integrated with radiating element compared to the ground plane. This paper is proposed to investigate the ground plane effects in Switchable UWB Antenna ground plane's size and switching towards resonant frequency, and radiation pattern. The proposed antenna has the advantages of frequency and pattern reconfigurable. Simulations results have been obtained from commercially by CST Microwave Studio. The antennas prototype has been designed, fabricated and measured. Good agreement has been obtained between simulated and measurement result.
