Abstract
Many governments around the world have digitized major portions of their public services and recognized the opportunities provided by the Internet and the World Wide Web (WWW) in exploring new ways of delivering services and interacting with citizens. This study focuses on the perceived obstacles facing Jordanian citizens when using e-government services, and addresses the challenges that face governments in developing countries to facilitate the complex relationship between governments and their constituencies and enable interaction, transaction and delivery of government services. It is vital to make a detailed study of the current situation of e-Government development in Jordan, find out the factors and barriers that prevent its development and seek for the corresponding solutions, set some recommendations, and suggest strategies.
