Abstract
There is a development and an increasing interest in wearable antennas and electronics in civil, medical, sport wear and military domains. In this paper, our study focuses on the investigation of using different fabrics suitable for wearable application. The substrate of the patch antenna is made of three different very low cost textile materials. Radiating element and ground plane are made of copper tape. The three antennas operate at 6 GHz. measured results are compared with simulations and good agreement was observed.
