Abstract
Voltage stability had always been a major concern in power system stability analysis. Many ways of handling and compensating the voltage stability had been developed but the assessment still plays an important part in it. Various voltage stability indices had been developed throughout the years to fulfill the role of estimating the voltage stability condition. This paper presented the various voltage stability indices that had been deployed and their effectiveness is being analyzed on IEEE 14-Bus Test System. Simulations had been carried out in order to evaluate and compare these indices in terms of types of loadings. Analysis indicated that different voltage stability indices used gave different accuracy and reliability on different loadings.
