Penubuhan pusat transformasi luar bandar sebagai pemangkin ekonomi penduduk luar bandar kajian kes: Pusat Transformasi Luar Bandar, Kelantan

Abstract

Rural development is a process to develop rural areas and help in improving the economy of the rural population. Under the National Transformation Policy, has introduced a special program has been introduced for rural communities namely Rural Transformation Program (RTP). The establishment of Rural Transformation Centre is a strategy under RTP to assist in improving the economy and living standard of the rural population. This study area is the second RTC established in Kelantan. This study was carried out to understand the concept of RTC, to identify problems before and after joining the RTC and to investigate the effect of the establishment of RTC. To achieve these objectives, qualitative approach through an interview with RTC participants and agencies has been employed. The result shows that RTC is capable to boost the economy of the rural population.
