Kriteria pemilihan kontraktor untuk melaksanakan kontrak pengurusan fasiliti

Abstract

The selection of contractor is very essential prior in managing the asset and facility management. The implementation of the work done by the contractor is one of the strategic management method. This is an assurance that the service provided to the customer is more efficient and effective. Organization become more capable, flexible and dynamic, and ability to direct all resources for main activity. Facility manager should play a vital role to ensure that the facilities given to the customer meets the requirement. The unsuitable contractor will cause the implication to the organization and management. This research is purposely to analyse the selection of contractor in managing the facility. Qualitative analysis through the application of computer is conducted to measure the result data from the questionnaire form. The army personnel and civilian who inhabit or work in Terendak Camp, Melaka are chosen randomly as a respondent. Findings from the research shown that there are certain criteria that are considered as vital while selecting contractor to commence facility management. Those criteria are identified beneficial to the respondent. Furthermore, for future development the research should study on the cause and impact of the customer satisfaction.
