Abstract
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the module Basic Essential Additional Mathematics Skills (BEAMS) with performance of Additional Mathematics for Form 4 students. This study also aims to identify the different result in Additional Mathematics and basic Mathematical tests before and after the BEAMS module is carried out. The method used is a quasi-shaped test involving pre and post test. The sample consists of 40 Form 4 students from a secondary school in Pasir Gudang, Johor. The instrument used was BEAMS module and textbooks without the use of other modules. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential using SPSS version 16.0. The results from descriptive analysis found that students have increased achievement in Mathematics assessment and the basic mathematics test. Ttests result for Additional Mathematics in examination is -5.194 and the result of basic Mathematics test is -9.016 with every significant value is 0.000. This shows that there is significant for Mathematics and Mathematical basis in accordance with p<0.05.
