Abstract

Mahmod Abad pass, located in Main Road Saqez-Sanandaj in north of Kurdistan province of Iran country, is one of path ways that accurse avalanche results dangerous accidents. The aim of this study is avalanche fall and presentation of strategies in these zones, to prevent from damages. In this investigation, the maps topography, geology, air photo, satellite data MODIS and data meteorology and hydrology will use. Layers will explore process and analyzed by using RS technical, GIS, eventually, the interested zone of avalanche fall will provide and strategies will present to prevent from damages of this natural phenomenon. The investigation show that the most of avalanche falls in north and East. In Mahmod Abad pass avalanche fall occur in slops that there gradient is 35-40, that the soil and vegetation has eliminated in this area. So, it seems that stones explore sun radiation is done increase temperature, this act cause snow melt and finally, it provide for rolling things in pathway.
