Abstract

To what extent the Bachelor of Science with education (Mathematics) program conducted by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia fulfill the market needs? The descriptive study used survey method to discover the answer for this issue as to full fill the requirement of Malaysian Quality Assurance (MQA). The educational institution employers have been asked to evaluate the curriculum of academic program included the theory concept, period of completing the program, carrier opportunity and the requirement of employment. A set of questionnaire issued by MQA were used in this study. There were 180 complete sets of questionnaire returned in appropriate time. The data obtained have been analysed using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) and the findings were exhibit in the form of percentage, frequency and mean. The overall findings showed that the employers were satisfied on the suitability of the theory concept, period of completing the program, carrier opportunity and the requirement of employment for the academic program suggested.
