Abstract
Visualization skill is very important in engineering field and it is positively correlated with achievement in engineering disciplines. Each person has a different learning style. Normally, the learning style is always associated with achievement and students success. Therefore, this research was carried out to study visualization skill level and learning style among engineering students in UTM Skudai. 357 respondents engaged in this study which covered six faculty of engineering in this campus. The respondent in this study consists of first year student to fourth year student. . This quantitative study was analyzed using descriptive and inferential analytical method. The instruments that had been used in this study were biographical data sheet, short version of spatial visualization standard tests and learning style questionnaire that was dimensioned by Oxford's Style Analysis Survey (1995). Results of this study revealed that there was no relationship between visualization skill and learning style. From studies, the patterns for visualization skill and learning style had been developed according to the student’s field of specialization, current year of study and sex.
