Recent advancement in wireless communications and electronics has enabled the development of low-cost wireless sensor networks .Wireless sensor network consists of small sensor nodes with sensing, computation, and wireless communications capabilities. There are many routing, power management and data spreading protocol for the wireless sensor networks. Wireless sensor network, as a large-scale, ad hoc, and multi-hop network, is composed of largely homogeneous, tiny, resource-constrained sensor nodes that would be randomly and densely deployed either inside the phenomenon or very close to it. The sensor in the sensor node could be any type of sensor (e.g. temperature, humidity). In this particular project, CMOS camera has be chosen. Recently, CMOS camera that is able to retrieve multimedia content such as still image and video streaming from the environment is available in small size and inexpensive. This new advanced from CMOS technology make it possible to develop self-organized sensing nodes with built-in miniature camera. As a function of transferring multimedia data, this sensor node is suitable to be applied in monitoring system
