Abstract
In this chapter, consists of the fundamentals of MOEMS and applications of it. MOEMS is applicable in several fields such as sensors, optical storage, display, adaptive optic, military application and telecommunication. A popular application of MOEMS, optical switch, is chosen to be discussed in this paper. MEMS optical switch is one of the important technologies for telecommunication which has several advantages compared to normal electrical switch. A review on the current challenges faced in MOEMS mass volume application is also included.
