Teachers perceptions of literature circle as a technique to teach creative writing using litarary texts

Abstract

This papers highlights findings of a workshop bases on responses givin by practicing teachers on the us of Literature Circle (LC) as a tecnique to develope students creative writing skills. Its uncovers teaching tecniques that have been used by teacher to promote and enhance students writing skill using literature as a resourse. The other issue initiated in this paper in the teachers opinion on the suitability and practicality of applying Literature Circle in their classroom. The overall response show that, prior to the workshop seassion, the teachers have use conventional method in their classroom. Intrestingly, it is discovered that they, are very perseptive of the idea of using the techniqeu introduced in the workshop despite the challenges yhey may face in their classroom.
