Abstract

A series of Recycle Glass-Kaolin ceramic has successful been made by solid state reaction and their physical and permeability characteristic has been studied. Infrared spectroscopy has been used to characterize the effect of OH group in the sample. It is found that the bulk density is in the range of 1.785gcm-3 to 2.2817gcm-3 while the impact energy is 1.785gcm-3 to 2.2817gcm-3 depending on the cullet content. Meanwhile, the permeability coefficient is found to be 5.208×10-4cms-1 to 1.812×10-4cms-1 which is in the reducing trend. The IR Spectroscopy shows that the OH group decrease, the permeability decreases.
