Abstract

In this paper, two nonparametric methods: transient analysis and frequency analysis have been used to identify the transfer function of a hot air blower system. Experiments were carried out to obtain the transfer function of the system for open-loop and closed-loop setting. The two nonparametric methods have successfully provided a crude mathematical model for the system. From observation system identification using nonparametric method is relatively simple and can be easily applied to a system. This paper is very useful, practical and good guidance for practicing engineers.
