Abstract
A high resolution bathymetry over wide areas coverage and details seafloor imagery with great accuracy is achievable through multibeam echosounder (MBES). Multibeam echo sounding introduced a technique of rapid depth measurements of the seabed that offers accurate, high resolution and 100 percent bottom coverage surveys. This system continually transmits numerous sonar beams in a swathe or fan-shaped signal pattern, thus generates high volumes of data.
