Abstract
Basically, most people are familiar with land - based maps and its applications in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) environment whether the data sources are derived from aerial photography or remote sensing. The developments of GIS applications in other domain such as Marine GIS is actually based on a similar/equivalent basis, the only difference is the source of data types.
