Software maintenance is most important and costly process in a System Development of Life Cycle (SDLC). Although the system in the deploy stage, maintenance still need to be done time to time for software improvement. Part of the problem in maintenance phase is software modification. The repeated modifications of a software system will degrade its structure and making it difficult to understand. In this scenario, usually maintainer will refer to software documentation and source code for software understanding. But documentation often not updated parallel with the source code changes. Thus, the source code is a good reference for understanding purposes. These approaches are not efficient because its take more time in searching phrase in the source code. Therefore, maintainer needs a tool that can help them in comprehension and searching for the code. This paper will discuss about source code query and visualize location approach, which can assist the maintainer to do the software maintenance in their C Software.
