Abstract
A switched beam disk-loaded monopole antenna array has been demonstrated that uses a coplanar waveguide (CPW) feeding technique. The antenna is designed for 2.45GHz ISM band for on-body communications or WLAN base station applications. It has a gain of 6.7dBi and the input return loss bandwidth is about 10%. The simulation and measurement results show a very good agreement.
