Abstract

In this study, the attenuation coefficients of water, fused glass using the LIDAR system consisting of a near infrared (NIR) laser diode source (810 nm) and the associated optical components are measured. The attenuation coefficients of water and fused glass respectively are 0.0186 cm-1 and 0.096 cm-1. Objectives: 1- Detection of light from different transparent materials. 2- Measurement of attenuation coefficient of water 3- Measurement of attenuation coefficient of fused glass.
