Abstract
The behaviour of resonant modes, (fr)mnp, may be explained by cavity model description of an unslotted rectangular antenna. Therefore, only the transverse magnetic, TMx, field configurations will be considered within the cavity. The focus of this paper is to determine the first five resonant modes that can be excited in the cavity and it is varied in terms of dielectric constant, er, width of antenna, W, and length of antenna, L. Ensemble SV software is used for the simulation work on the cavity rectangular antennas. MathCAD software is used for computing and correlating the resonant frequencies modes based on the cavity model method. Comparison between the simulation and mathematical results are presented.
