In today's competitive climate, membrane air separation is now widely accepted as an economic process to produce moderate purity streams containing up to 99.5 % nitrogen or 30-50 % oxygen. Therefore, the demand for higher product purity of membrane air separation had motivated execution of this study. The objective of this study is to develop a suitable hollow fiber membrane for O2 enrichment system. Experiments were carried out to characterize the separation performance of the produced polysulfone hollow fiber membranes for oxygen enrichment. In this study, experiments are carried out to determine the separation performance of polysulfone hollow fiber membranes on oxygen/nitrogen mixtures, where the effect of the feed pressure and feed flow rate on the oxygen enrichment were observed. The highest oxygen purity achieved was about 42.20 % and the permeate oxygen enrichment was about 2.02 or 100.95 % increased from ambient air.
