Abstract
In this paper calculation of parameters of a six-phase transmission line is presented. The calculation is carried out by extending the Carson’s line model in three-phase system. An existing three-phase double-circuit transmission line with two ground wires of Malaysian network, which belongs to TNB (Malaysian power utility), is chosen as a case study. The result of calculation of parameter of the line revealed that the positive sequence inductive reactance is somewhat higher for 6-phase single-circuit line than for a 3-phase double-circuit line.
