Abstract

Crowd simulation is one of the important issues in computer graphics application. Good crowd simulation involves a few rules that to be applied, which are modelling, rendering, behaviour, and collision avoidance. Herding, flocking, and schooling behaviours of animals have been studied extensively over the past century. Ideally, a behavioural model for crowd should be both realistic and efficient, and it should also be able to simulate a very large number of agents efficiently to cause just a minor impact in the applications frame rates. In crowd behaviour there are some issues that must be implemented in the correct way: situation and environment. This paper investigates the important of behaviour for crowd simulation in virtual environment.
