Abstract
Penggunaan komputer atau multimedia dalam pendidikan semakin popularpada masa ini. Ekoran daripada perkembangan yang pesat dalam multimedia, maka wujudlah konsep Pengajaran dan Pembelajaran Berbantukan Komputer (PPBK). Matlamat kajian ini adalah untuk membangunkan perisian Pengajaran dan Pembelajaran Berbantukan Komputer (PPBK) yang bertajuk “Perhubungan Elektronik”. Pengguna sasaran perisian PPBK ini ialah pelajar-pelajar yang mengambil mata pelajaran Teknologi Kejuruteraan di sekolah menengah biasa dan berasrama penuh. Metodologi pembangunan perisian PPBK ini adalah berasaskan model reka bentuk pengajaran Hanaffin dan Peck (1998).Beberapa jenis strategi pengajaran digunakan seperti pendekatan latih tubi, tutorial dan simulasi. PPBK ini dibangunkan dengan menggunakan perisian pengarangan Macromedia Flash Professional 8 dan perisian sokongan lain seperti Adobe Photoshop CS2, Swish Max dan Sony Sound Force 8. Perisian ini telah dinilai dalam beberapa aspek, iaitu penilaian reka bentuk interaktif, pembelajaran kendiri, kemudahan pengguna, objektif pengajaran dan penilaian secara keseluruhan. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa perisian PPBK ini telah berjaya memberikan maklumat mengenai Perhubungan Elektronik dengan baik dan dapat membantu pelajar dan guru dalam proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran. Beberapa cadangan dikemukakan supaya dapat dijadikan panduan kepada pembangun perisian pada masa hadapan dengan meningkatkan lagi mutu perisian mereka.Semoga perisian yang dibina ini dapat memberikan sumbangan yang bermakna dalam bidang pendidikan negara kita. ABSTRACT:The use of computer or multimedia in education has become more popularthese days. As a result of rapid development in multimedia, it has triggered teaching and learning by using computers. The objective of this study is to develop a Computer Assisted Teaching and Learning Courseware (CATL) entitled “Electronic Communication”. The target users of this CATL courseware are students of Engineering Technology Studies in secondary schools and boarding school. The methodology of developing this CATL was based upon Hannifin and Peck‟s model of teaching design (1998). A few types of learning strategies were used in this courseware, namely drill and practice, tutorial and simulation. The CATL courseware is developed by using a Macromedia Flash Professional 8 as the authoring tool and other support software such as Adobe Photoshop CS2, Swish Max and Sony Sound Force 8. This courseware was evaluated in few aspects: interactive design, self-learning, user satisfaction, teaching objective and overall evaluation. From the summative evaluation, the courseware can provide information about electronic communication and able to assist both students and teachers in the learning and teaching process. A few suggestions have been made to the software developers in future so that the software can be upgraded.
