Semi-flexible pavement consists of porous aggregate bounded with asphalt and low viscosity cement grout. The porous aggregate and asphalt usually has a porosity of 25 – 32% which allow the cement grout to fill the voids completely. By combining the asphalt and the cement grout the mix has relatively high stiffness and load bearing capacity compared to asphaltic concrete used for road pavement. This paper investigates the existing production methods of semi-rigid pavement and its feasibility for use as a structural material.
