Abstract

Bluetooth provides a great advantage of wireless solution and the most importantly, it provides a great portability feature. With the presently used equipment i.e. cardiac monitor, it is impractical to be implemented due to its big size, heavy weight and high cost. Apart from that, this unit has to be placed beside a patient’s bedside (wired) for heart sound monitoring, thus it hampers the mobility of patients. Mobile monitoring (wireless system) of patients health status is becoming very crucial element in the field of telemedicine nowadays. This new mode of health monitoring promises the reduction of wired connection equipments in medical premises thus reducing any wired connection related problems.
