Abstract
The world has undergoes the revolution of knowledge and information development. In this phase, the creation, distribution and manipulation of information and knowledge are the significant for the society’s economic and cultural activity. Initially, library is the place where written information and knowledge are centralized. Great Library of Alexandria, a public library open to those with proper scholarly and literary qualification, founded about 300bc,; shows that it’s a beginning of knowledge and information development revolution (Krasner-Khait, 2001). The development of information communication and technology (ICT) has facilitated the society in order to share and gain knowledge globally beyond the borders. In this revolution, the creation of knowledge increase rapidly. Therefore, the excess of knowledge has been a deterrent in order to make the knowledge to be accessible. Knowledge must be managed to make sure it is easily retrieved in the future.
