Abstract
This paper presents a new application of fuzzy logic to the inverse modelling of the extraction process in the RDC Column. The model considered here only involved the process of mass transfer of a single drop while assuming that the radius of drop is known. The model is based on the algorithm which is the modification of algorithm proposed by Ismail et.al.[5]. This study also proved that all the normal and convex fuzzy sets are mapped by RDC's functions into the normal and convex induced fuzzy sets. A theorem used to determine the best optimal values of input parameter in the final step of the algorithm is also presented and proved.
