Abstract
This special issue of International Journal of Adhesion and Adhesives (IJAA) contains selected papers presented at the Special Session on ‘Adhesive Bonding’ held at the International Conference on Advanced Computational Engineering and Experimenting (ACE-X 2007) meeting. ACE-X 2007 was chaired by Prof. Andreas Öchsner and held at Algarve, Portugal during the period 12–13 July 2007. The goal of the conference was to provide a unique opportunity to exchange information, present the latest results as well as review the relevant issues on engineering mechanics research today.
