Abstract

Pipeline systems oversee the transportation of important materials like water, gas, and oil. If such pipe systems are exposed to any trouble, a big economic loss, as well as environmental damages, are being produced. A proper water distribution monitoring system is very needed to overcome this issue. However, current digital water monitoring systems are upheld by different apparatus, without considering the interoperability standards. The standardization lack among the manufacturers of digital water monitoring components will ambiguity improper tracking and controlling systems, which reduce the efficiency of water distribution & consumption, system servicing & enhancement, and failure detection. Hence, this work aims at designing a Smart Water Distribution Network (WDN) Monitoring System toward the Internet of Things (IoT) architecture for real-time water abnormalities detection and water monitoring. It consists of two parts: the smart water abnormalities detection system and the smart water distribution monitoring system. The system will operate with the data provided by the smart sensors which were attached to the piping system. Next, a smart mobile application will develop with an embedded digital reporting module to notifying the to the consumer and the authority of the next action to be taken. The pattern analysis is based on deep learning techniques and applications.
