Abstract
Reduced physical and social engagement in the elderly people slows the aging process, inflicting or exacerbating discomfort to their family members and friends. Across many communities, caring for the elderly is a major burden since family members lack in medical skills. Eventhough, caregivers such as the members of family, neighbours and friends render service, friendly care and support in fulfilling their unmet needs, they face severe burdens in taking care of older people, which can seriously affect the nature of the caretaker's life, results in some problems like financial issues, social isolation, mental and physical depletion. Here, a unique model is proposed which showcase the aged people to manage their own life. The tasks of caretakers are often complex, so it is essential to develop a mechanism that can render the support for satisfaction in un met daily needs of aged people. In the present work, an online community model for the benefit of elderly people has been developed. It aims at the aged people to accomplish their unfulfilled daily needs. The design and architecture of the proposed model improves the caregiver's efficiency, quality of care and thereby reduce the elderly demand for formal support.
