Abstract

In criminal and forensic investigations, documents play an important role in finance, legal, and business domains on a daily basis. Documents refer to materials with symbols or signs that convey meaning or message [1]. Forensic scientists are required to determine (i) whether there is any alteration and obliteration on documents, (ii) to differentiate the inks, and (iii) to identify the origin of the inks on the documents [2].
